Required to teach and model successful teaching practices to the intern, as well as providing assessment, strategies, and feedback to help her gain experience as a teacher in the actual art classroom.

- Designed and implemented a program in which the chapter hosts four different Professional Development seminars throughout the year which are open to all Battlefield Faculty. Organize and arrange teachers to present on a current topic or teaching strategy relevant for their colleagues thus promoting collaboration and providing a professional learning community within Battlefield High School.
- FOCUS Lead Teacher, 2011 - 2013:
- Counsel and work with a student at-risk of failing each year. Serve as a liason between him, his parents and his teachers in order to provide resources and keep the student passing and successful.
- Professional Development Presenter:
- Have written and led several professional development workshops for Prince William County and Fauquier County Art teachers. Topics have included: Plein Air Painting, Bringing the Art Museum into your classroom, sketchbooks and bookmaking, traveling and painting abroad, etc.
- Personally wrote and implemented the first Art History Curriculum and Pacing guide for all Prince William County Art Teachers.
- Served on Committee to revise/write County Art Curriculum for Fauquier County Public Schools, 2003.
- Served on the selection committee for Virginia Governor’s School for fine arts, in Fauquier County, VA 2001 - 2003.
- Served as an instructor in the Fauquier County Gifted Art Summer program. Wrote the curriculum and taught upper elementary and middle school students who were gifted in the arts. Summer, 2001 – 2003.
- Principal’s Advisory Committee: have served on a committee with the Principal, teachers and parents to plan and implement various programs at the school level for several different years at Battlefield High School.

- CLIMB365 Participant: Selected as 1 of 5 Women Featured in the Climb 365 Leadership Initiative Sponsored by the Junior League of Greensboro, Partnered with the Center for Creative Leadership, and Highlighted at the 2014 Women’s Leadership Summit. 2014 - 2015
- As a participant in the Climb 365 program I worked with a career coach and blogged about my professional journey to reach my goal of opening a public art center in the future. My blog was sponsored by both of these organizations as well as a myriad of other professional businesses who promote women in leadership.
