Rebecca Bourne Graham
Biography:
Rebecca Graham earned an MFA in painting from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2007 and a BA in Fine Arts along with an MT in Education in 2000, from the University of Virginia. Rebecca has shown her paintings in solo and group shows in Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington DC, Virginia, and internationally in Mexico and Italy. As a graduate student, Rebecca received the Surdna Foundation Fellowship and was honored with the “Best Senior Show” award for her undergraduate senior art show. She has received honorable mention in 2012 and first place in 2010 for paintings in the Piedmont Regional Art Show. She earned first place in the Middle Street Gallery’s “UnRappahanock” Show in 2008 and “The Chapel Award” (2002) for a painting that still hangs at the Hotel Cocumella in Piano De Sorrento, Italy. She is currently an adjunct Art Professor for Virginia Commonwealth University’s Graduate MIS program, and teaches Art and Art History at Battlefield High School in Prince William County, Virginia. Rebecca lives and paints on her family farm in Markham, Virginia with her husband and two children.
